Key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have rallied behind the party’s newly elected State Executive Committee, signaling a move to consolidate unity within the party following its recent State Congress.

Among those who endorsed the new leadership were Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Barau Jibrin, Deputy Senate President and Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the APC. The leaders congratulated the executives and described their emergence as a step toward strengthening the party’s structure and stability in Kano.

In a statement issued Wednesday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the leaders commended party members for conducting what they described as a peaceful and successful congress, noting that the process reflected the collective will of APC supporters across the state.

Other prominent stakeholders, who threw their weight behind the new executive include Murtala Sule Garo, Tijjani Gwarzo, and Abba Kabir Bichi, alongside several other party leaders.

The stakeholders stressed the importance of reconciliation and cooperation among party members, urging the new leadership to promote fairness, transparency and inclusiveness in managing party affairs.

They also called on members across the State to support the Executive Committee, saying the unity demonstrated during the affirmation process shows that the APC in Kano is determined to move forward with a common purpose.

According to the statement, the development signals renewed efforts by party leaders to strengthen internal cohesion and reposition the APC ahead of future political contests in the State.
