Iron Capital has been named Nigeria’s best investment bank for financing solutions at the 2026 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, a recognition that underscores the growing prominence of indigenous financial advisory firms in the country’s capital markets.

The Lagos-based investment banking and asset management firm said Friday it received the award for its work in structuring financing transactions, including infrastructure bonds, capital market issuances and debt deals.

The recognition comes as Nigerian companies and governments increasingly turn to the domestic debt market to fund infrastructure and refinance obligations amid elevated borrowing costs and tighter global financial conditions.

Chief Executive Officer Jubril Enakele said the award reflects the firm’s focus on delivering complex cross-border financing solutions tailored to African markets.

“We do not measure our legacy simply by the passage of time, but by the transformative impact of the capital we structure,” Enakele said in a statement.

Founded seven years ago, Iron Capital said it has structured more than N3.11 trillion ($2.3 billion) in financing transactions across Africa, spanning financial advisory, capital markets and asset management.

The firm also said it is the first Sub-Saharan African multi-family office licensed in Dubai, a move aimed at connecting African wealth with international investment opportunities.

The annual Euromoney Awards for Excellence recognise banks and financial institutions for performance, innovation and market leadership across global markets.

Iron Capital joins a growing list of Nigerian financial institutions gaining international recognition as the country’s capital markets deepen and demand for sophisticated financing structures expands.
