Instant transfers hits all time high of N1.07 quadrillion

Electronic payment transactions in Nigeria rose to an all time high of N1.07 quadrillion in 2024. This is a 79.6 percent increase from the N600 trillion recorded in 2024, according to the data from the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS).

While the e-payment grew steadily throughout the 12 months of the year, the highest value was recorded in December, when a total transfer value of N115.1 trillion was recorded.
