​The late Bauchi State businessman, Ahmadu Laushi, mentored numerous people across Northern Nigeria in commerce and trade, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has said. Governor Mohammed described the late Laushi as an outstanding personality who had carved a niche for himself.

​The governor made the remarks during a condolence visit by Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago at the Government House, Bauchi. Governor Bago described the death of the famous businessman as a monumental loss to the nation, calling him an elder statesman and a father figure to many. He noted that the demise of the prominent merchant created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

​Niger State governor extends condolences

​On behalf of the government and people of Niger State, Governor Bago extended heartfelt condolences to the Bauchi State government and the immediate and extended families of the deceased. He prayed that Allah would reward his good deeds, grant his soul Aljannat firdausi, and comfort his family, the government, and the people of Bauchi State. Prior to the Government House visit, Governor Bago commiserated with family members at the deceased’s residence.

​During the visit, Governor Bago also appreciated the exceptional leadership that Governor Mohammed is providing to the people of Bauchi State, describing his efforts as inspiring. In response, Governor Mohammed thanked his counterpart for the visit and the continued display of support.

​Bauchi governor applauds agricultural strides

​Governor Mohammed commended Governor Bago for his developmental strides in Niger State, particularly in agricultural mechanisation, which has attracted global attention. He further acknowledged the remarkable progress being achieved in Niger State across critical sectors, including infrastructure, health, mineral resources, and security.
