Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Governor-Elect of Kogi State, has declared 2024 as a year of redemption for Nigerians and the people of Kogi. This announcement comes at a time when the nation eagerly anticipates positive changes and growth.
Ododo, in a statement said, “2024 marks the beginning of a new era where the hope of Nigerians will be renewed.” He commended the President’s decision to remove fuel subsidies, viewing it as a pivotal move for the economic wellbeing of the country. “The efforts at rebounding the nation’s oil refineries by our President deserve our applause,” Ododo added.
Furthermore, Ododo emphasised the brighter future ahead, “After the sacrifices made due to the oil subsidy removal, we anticipate a strong economic rebound from the second quarter of 2024. Our nation’s economy will then become unstoppable.”
He also appealed to the citizens for their unwavering support for the current administration, highlighting its commitment to improving living standards. “2024 is the year Nigeria will make its mark globally,” he asserted confidently.
Discussing the transition of power in Kogi State, Ododo acknowledged the responsibility awaiting him. “Taking over from Kogi’s best Governor, Yahaya Bello, is a formidable task, but with God’s help, we will continue to raise the flag of progress in our beloved state,” he expressed.
The Governor-Elect recognised the challenge ahead but remained confident, citing the thorough preparation and groundwork laid by Governor Bello. “Our goal is to build upon and enhance the achievements of the current administration,” Ododo assured.
