Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has announced the appointment of Usman Mohammed as its new president

The announcement was disclosed at the 35th Annual General Meeting of the Chamber which took place virtually on August 28, 2020.

Eric Jeanneau, the outgoing President in his remarks welcomed the new president and explained that the chamber has recorded 20 percent growth in its membership while the networking platforms have become very engaging.

“These successes have given room for the creation of a new membership category ‘start-up category’ which has necessitated a need to float a foundation to support the start-ups in the area of financing, technical support and a hub for operations,” Jeanneau said.

He further said that the efforts of the FNCCI have not gone unnoticed as most key government organizations and state institutions have reached out for partnership, collaboration and input in key policies.

Mohammed with international experience in oil services and the MD of New Energy Services Company (NESSCO) accepted the mantle of office and pledged to drive the objective of the chamber which is aimed at promoting France Nigeria business relationship.

Three new board members were enlisted to include Marc Geniteau from Total E&P Nigeria Limited as the Vice President, Paul Jackson London from SPIE as member, and Ababacar Samb from Schneider electric Nigeria also as a member.
