Firm moves to boost workforce well-being

Harley and Rainbow, Nigeria’s leading specialised laboratory and diagnostics company, is hosting a series of initiatives to promote health and wellness among employees and communities as part of activities to mark the 2024 Global Employee Health and Fitness Month.

The event will offer complimentary health screenings, professional medical advice, and fitness sessions led by certified trainers. These activities are designed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle among employees and the general public.

Ademolu Owoyele, MD and chief executive officer of Harley and Rainbow emphasized the significance of the company’s involvement in this global observance.

“At Harley and Rainbow, we understand that a healthy workforce is paramount to productivity and overall well-being. This initiative not only aligns with our core values but also gives us the opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way,” Owoyele said.

He further added, “By providing these essential services for free, we can help individuals make informed health decisions and adopt healthier lifestyle choices.”

The event will feature a range of free medical services that include health screenings, consultations with healthcare professionals, and informational sessions on various health topics.

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to engage in fitness activities such as group exercises, yoga sessions, and wellness workshops. The event is scheduled to be held on May 17th & 18th, 2024.

Obiyomi Oluwole, managing director of Womark Global Nigeria, noted the company’s support to enhance health consciousness and work-life balance.

“We are supporting this initiative because we believe in the profound impact that a healthy workforce can have on productivity and overall happiness.

“Encouraging health awareness and work-life balance aligns with our core values, and we are committed to promoting wellness in every aspect of our employees’ lives. This effort not only enhances individual well-being but also fosters a more vibrant and sustainable community,” Oluwole stated.

Also, Agbaoye Olugbuyi, managing director of FitBase Resources, reaffirmed their commitment, stating, “We are dedicated to providing comprehensive health and fitness services to participants. Our goal is to enhance their productivity at work and in their various activities by promoting overall wellness.”

Participants at the session will have access to a general wellness talk, hypertension screening, body mass index (BMI) check, hepatitis screening, diabetes screening, fibroid screening, eye checks, and free eyeglasses, along with the prescription of drugs, medical consultations, and a workout and fitness session

The medical outreach and fitness sessions are part of Harley and Rainbow’s broader strategy to integrate health education and preventative care into the daily lives of the community.

By hosting this event, the company hopes to inspire other organizations to prioritize the health of their employees, ultimately fostering a healthier, more productive society.
