The Federal Government is currently undergoing a significant revision of the conditions and procedures governing the sales of houses under the National Housing Programme.
Mahmuda Mamman, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja.
This, according to him was part of the revamped sales process, interested individuals are required to complete an Expression of Interest Form.
Mahmuda Mamman emphasized that this initiative aims to streamline and enhance the allocation process for the National Housing Programme.
“Subscribers who were previously offered a Provisional Offer of Allocation, and whose offers lapsed between 10 March 2022 and 18th October 2023, are encouraged to re-apply by completing the Expression of Interest Form.
“To facilitate the application process, the Ministry has made provisions for interested subscribers to obtain their Expression of Interest Forms at no cost.
“These forms are available at the offices of the Federal Controllers of Housing and Urban Development in all 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory”, he stated.
In a bid to be inclusive, the Ministry recognized the interest of Nigerians in the diaspora. For those abroad who wish to subscribe to the Houses, the Expression of Interest Forms can be obtained from the office of the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora.
This strategic move by the Ministry is aimed at fostering transparency and accessibility in the National Housing Programme, ensuring that interested parties can actively participate in the housing allocation process.
