The Federal Government is ramping up efforts to attract at least $10 billion in investments into Nigeria’s gas sector, bringing together some of the most influential industry leaders and stakeholders for the 2025 Gas Investment Forum in Lagos.
The gathering, fronted by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and co-hosted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), will serve as a strategic platform to advance the “Decade of Gas” agenda and accelerate the country’s industrialisation push.
Olubukola Arowolo Verheijen, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Energy, will lead an elite line-up of speakers at the 2025 Gas Investment Forum (GIF), scheduled for October 7–8 at the Oriental Hotel.

She will serve as Chief Host and deliver the keynote address, bringing her reform-focused leadership in Nigeria’s oil, gas, and power sectors to the fore.
Joining her are Ed Ubong, Coordinating Director of the Decade of Gas Secretariat; NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber (AEC); Akachukwu Nwokedi, President of the Nigeria Gas Association; and Engr. Wole Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).
Others include Andrea Stegher, President of the International Gas Union (IGU); Dr. David Oluseyi Ige, Non-Executive Director at NNPC Limited and CEO of GasInvest Ltd; Dr. Abiodun Ogunjobi, Group Chief Technical Officer of Panocean Newcross Group; Eyono Fatayi-Williams, President of the Women in Energy Network; Damilola Owolabi-Osinusi, CEO of Selai Gas Station Ltd; and Oga Adejo-Ogiri, Executive Secretary of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG).
With the theme “Charting New Opportunities for Investment, Growth & Industrialization,” GIF 2025 will convene policymakers, private-sector leaders, investors, and innovators to deliberate on Nigeria’s gas monetisation agenda and strategies for unlocking new value chains across West Africa.
Osaze Isesele, event Director said the Forum,now in its third edition has become a central platform for high-level strategic dialogue, endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and co-hosted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
“This is where government leaders and private-sector investors meet to shape Nigeria’s gas future,” Isesele noted, adding that the Forum aligns with the federal government’s “Decade of Gas” policy and West Africa’s wider ambition for sustainable development, energy security, and regional integration.

GIF 2025 will also feature a tradeshow, enabling companies and project developers to showcase cutting-edge technologies, services, and investment-ready projects to both local and international stakeholders.
