Applicants who participated in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment examination can now verify whether they have been shortlisted for the next stage of the exercise, as the Board has announced the commencement of physical screening and document verification for successful candidates.
The Board disclosed on Saturday that the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise had progressed to the physical screening phase, with the exercise scheduled to begin next week across designated centres nationwide.
In a statement signed by Abdulmalik. Jibril, Secretary to the Board, candidates who sat for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted in November 2025 were directed to check their application status through the official recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20, 2026.

The Board explained that candidates who are successfully shortlisted would be required to upload their credentials online and subsequently select their preferred screening date and venue for the physical verification exercise.
It stressed that applicants must carefully follow all instructions provided on the portal, warning that failure to comply with the outlined procedures could result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
The CDCFIB also reiterated its commitment to conducting a transparent and merit-based recruitment exercise, while cautioning applicants against falling victim to fraudsters and recruitment racketeers.
Jibril emphasised that the entire recruitment process remains free of charge and that no candidate should make any payment to individuals or groups claiming to facilitate shortlisting, screening venue allocation, document uploads, access to screening centres, or final selection.
He warned that any request for money in connection with the recruitment exercise should be treated as fraudulent.
The Board further urged members of the public and applicants to disregard fake recruitment messages, unofficial notices and fraudulent links circulating on social media and other online platforms.
It maintained that all authentic information relating to the recruitment exercise would be communicated exclusively through the official recruitment portal and other approved channels of the Board.
The CDCFIB noted that the ongoing recruitment is aimed at filling vacancies across four paramilitary agencies under its supervision, namely the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
have been advised to begin preparations by assembling their original credentials and other relevant documents ahead of the physical screening and verification exercise.
The Board expressed confidence that the process would be conducted in accordance with established recruitment guidelines, ensuring fairness, transparency and equal opportunity for all qualified candidates.
