The Federal Ministry of Works in Lagos has announced the closure of Oworonsoki bound of the Third Mainland Bridge (TMB) starting from 12 midnight today, Saturday, May 25 till 6pm on Sunday, May 26.
Olukorede Kesha, the federal controller of works, Lagos, explained in a statement obtained by BusinessDay Saturday night, that the closure of the road is to enable the ministry to carry out urgent repairs of the section of the road.

Kesha, therefore , advised motorists to use alternative routes.while regretting all inconveniences the road closure would cause.
Meanwhile, the Third Mainland Bridge has been slated for commissioning on Sunday by President Bola Tinubu who is already in Lagos for the event.
The president will also commission the Apapa Oshodi Expressway reconstructed by the Dangote Group and thereafter flag off the construction of the 700-kilometre Lagos-calabar coastal highway.
