Female-Interest Organizations Partner to Provide Covid-19 Relief for Boko Haram Widows

The 21st of April, 2020 marked a special partnership between three female-interest, non-profit organizations. Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) joined forces with Cherith Child Foundation (CCLG) and the International Women’s Society (IWS) to provide necessary relief packages for Widows in OJO Military Cantonment.

The OJO Cantonment, which is located on Lagos mainland serves as a Boko Haram respite center for women who lost their husbands in the line of duty.
Speaking on behalf of Cherith Child Foundation, Mrs Ibiwunmi Akinnola— founder, CCLG, who also happens to be President, IWS Nigeria expressed her gratitude to the partners saying,
“We are immensely grateful to WIMBIZ for partnering and supporting us on such a meaningful initiative. Without WIMBIZ’s contribution of 500 relief packages, we would not have been able to reach the 1000 widows and children who without these packages would find it hard to get through in this time of crisis.”
Also present for WIMBIZ were Chairman, Board of Trustees; Mrs Ighodalo and Chairperson Executive Council; Mrs Ngover Nwankwo.
