FEC gives nod for repatriation of $321m fresh Abacha loot

Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved the signing of new agreements for the repatriation of fresh $321m Abacha loot. The funds is expected in Nigeria within two months

This is just as the Minister of Health, Osage Ehanire has warned Nigerians wishing to travel to China to suspend such trips on the backdrop of the ravaging CoronaVirus.

He assured that Nigeria’s Port Health services have been put on alert, even as government has directed all airlines to report cases of sick passengers to health authorities for necessary actions

Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, was given nod to sign Memorandum on asset sharing agreement for repatriation of recovered asset. The MoU will be signed between Nigeria, the Island of Jersey and the United States government.

FEC a.so approved a PPP E- ticketing arrangements that will see investment of N900m for automated fare collection system to check ticket racketeering, for the Nigeria railways.

These are some of the outcome of the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council In 2020 presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari
