Fagge one of the metropolitan local councils in Kano State has commenced the vaccination of about 86,756 children for the November round of polio vaccination exercise.
The primary health care (PHC) coordinator of the area Da’u Sarki Aliyu said this while speaking in an interview with journalists, who went round to monitor the conduct of the exercise in the area.
The PHC coordinator disclosed that an adequate number of vaccines and pluses were provided by the local government council to ensure the successful conduct of the exercise in the area.

Da,u also revealed that Adhoc staff deployed to the LGA, are now active in different wards in the locality, in order to ensure that no child is left unimmunized.
He expressed his satisfaction with the massive turnout, calling on parents and caregivers to ensure that their children were immunised, saying that the oral polio vaccine is extremely safe and effective at protecting children against lifelong polio paralysis.
He then commended the effort of the state government, traditional and religious leaders, and other relevant stakeholders for their tireless effort in the fight against the disease.
