Experts set to explore issues affecting quality profession next week

Quality management experts will converge on Lagos next week during the Africa Quality Week to discuss issues around quality in organisations. The forum will also create more awareness on the role and influence of Quality Management to Organizations, Nations and Individuals.

The forum, as part of celebrating World Quality Week, is organised by The Africa Quality Academy with the theme: Quality : “Realizing Your Competitive Potential ” which will take place at the Muson Centre, Lagos state from 27th-30th, November

The organisers said that AQW is a campaign that raises management profession and focus on the theme of realizing operators competitive potentials. “This year’s conference of AQW will bring together Leaders and Quality Professionals to explore three key topics affecting the Quality Profession: Competitiveness, People and Innovation”.

According to a statement, activities for the week include: the conference, walk 4 quality road show, conferment of honorary fellowship, Africa quality week exhibition and Africa quality excellence awards.

Special Guests to grace the event includes, according to the statement include: Mallam Farouk A. Salim, DG, Standard Organization of Nigeria; Jaques Snyders, MD, South African Quality Institute; Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Nigeria; Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof, Minister of Trade and Investment, Gambia; Boni Mehlomakulu, CEO, Bureau of Standards, South Africa; Chipoka Mulenga, Minister of Trade and Investment, Zambia; Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Investment, Egypt; Koné Siaka, DG, Agence Ivorienne de Presse Cote D’Ivoire; Murenzi Raymond, DG, Bureau of Standards, Rwanda; and Athman Y. Ngenya, DG, Tanzania Bureau of Standards.
