Oluyomi Martins, an expert with vast knowledge of the banking and financial services sectors and a passion for increasing financial knowledge, has launched a book to help deepen financial literacy in Nigeria.

The book titled “How to Conduct a Bank Statement Forensic Audit,” published in December 2023, draws inspiration and in-depth information from Martin’s 23 years of valuable experience in conducting forensic audits at an international bank based in Nigeria.

The book, which is the first in Nigeria to focus specifically on bank statement forensic audits, would help address the huge knowledge gap that exists in the financial sector in Nigeria.

Martins, a former Head of Investigation, explained that the book will serve as a very valuable, practical, and accessible resource material for both non-forensic audit professionals and seasoned experts.

An authority in the field of bank statement forensic audit, he promised that this book will make it easy to carry out a bank statement forensic audit without all the technical complications attached to doing one.

Martins also explained that the book would contribute to the objectives of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s National Financial Literacy Framework.

“I wrote this book to bridge the existing knowledge gap in bank statement forensic audit and contribute to the CBN National Financial Literacy Framework,” says Oluyomi Martins. “My goal is to make this crucial process understandable and applicable to a broad audience, fostering a deeper understanding of financial transparency and accountability.”

The book is available at major bookstores and online retailers. Martins can be reached for interviews or book review via email: [email protected].
