Few hours after the invasion of Benin Correctional Centre, by the suspected hoodlums in the guise of #EndSARS protest, the Oko medium correctional centre was also attacked.
It was gathered that the hoodlums freed inmates, while several vehicles were set ablaze as well as a provision store.
Several vehicles were also reportedly burnt at Ugbekun police station.
It also gathered that about four police stations were burnt by the hoodlums.
The burnt police stations, are Ugbekun, Idogbo police post, Textile Mills, Oba market police stations while Edo state office of DAAR Communications, operator of Africa Independent Television and Raypower was also attacked and vandalized.
The hoodlums which was said to be in hundreds armed with guns and machete overpowered about five arms guards of the centre.
It was learnt that the hoodlums before the invasion of the centre shot repeatedly to scare staff and other people away.
