Customers get bumper value on Shoprite’s Black Friday

Shoppers in Shoprite Nigeria’s supermarkets across the country were treated to bumper value as the retail chain offered customers some early Black Friday deals and big discounts on everyday essential products.

This is particularly significant as customers are increasingly looking for value, given the pressure many households are currently experiencing.

The Shoprite bumper black Friday offer, which began on November 25 and will end on November 29, 2020, is a pan Nigeria value-added offer.

According to Ini Archibong, Chief Operating Officer of Chastest Consult, a PR consultant to Shoprite Nigeria, “Shoprite will, for the first time, offer early Black Friday deals and keep the deals valid for longer, to allow customers more time to plan and shop, and to prevent overcrowding.”

He added that while the black Friday lasted, stringent hygiene and sanitizing protocols would be in place at all Shoprite supermarkets in Nigeria to help protect customers and employees.

Some of the personal protective equipment required to access the stores include use of face masks, hand sanitizer, social distancing and limited entry where necessary to avoid overcrowding.

Customers are encouraged to pay by card and to capitalize on the extended trading hours to make the most of the deepcut specials that will be on offer.
