COVID-19: 160 Nigerians evacuated from U.S arrive Abuja

One hundred and sixty Nigerians on Sunday were successfully evacuated from the United States of America, landing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja (NAIA).

The aircraft departed for Abuja from Newark (EWR) Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Saturday 9th May 2020 by 9.15pm

The aircraft, a 270-passenger capacity Boeing 787 flight Number ET 509 with Registration ET-AOQ operated arrived the country’s Federal Capital Territory at about 11:05am on Sunday, May 10, 2020 the expense of the travelers.

The evacuees have been taken to a secure location for isolation in five luxurious buses and two normal buses which were on ground to ensure the passengers had limited contact with other people as part of the guidelines of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
