Covenant University (CU) and Stage Africa Media and Advisory have announced a strategic partnership to support students studying Public Relations (PR) in the institution.

The partnership is targeted at 400-level students of CU’s PR Consultancy programme aimed at strengthening the bridge between academic learning and real-world communications practice.

“This is more than sponsorship. It is about helping young people access the clarity, exposure, and confidence many of us had to discover much later”, Omotoyosi Ajayi, founder, Stage Africa Media and Advisory said in a statement.

Ajayi, who is also and Vice President/Programme Director of Nigerian Women in PR, added that the future of PR would be built through intentional partnerships, mentorship, and practical training.

According to her, the partnership is expected to serve as the beginning of a long-term institutional collaboration between Stage Africa Media & Advisory and Covenant University, with a shared commitment to supporting emerging PR and communications talent annually.

As part of the partnership, Stage Africa will support the programme with the Stage Africa PR Excellence Award, a cash endowment to recognise outstanding student consultancy work.

The top three students will also receive a six-month Strategic Communications training opportunity with Stage Africa Media and Advisory.

In addition, Stage Africa has been invited to serve on the Panel of Judges for the upcoming PR Consultancy Pitch event, where 400-level students will present comprehensive PR plans tailored to real-world clients’ needs.

The Pitch event will be held on June 10, 2026, at 10:00 am, at the Covenant University Campus.

The event will provide a unique opportunity to witness the next generation of PR professionals in action as they demonstrate practical understanding of client briefs, campaign strategy, storytelling, stakeholder engagement, media planning, reputation management, and strategic communications execution.
