Sadiya Umar-Farouq, Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, has arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abuja to answer questions around alleged N37bn laundered during her tenure in office, through a contractor.

Her arrival after invitations by the EFCC was confirmed Monday morning after she failed to appear, on health challenges.

The former minister equally on Monday morning tweeted about arrival at the Commission.

“I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating,” Umar-Farouq tweeted.

Umar-Farouk and her team are being investigated over an alleged misappropriation of some N37,170,855,753.44 during her tenure in office, through a contractor.
