…panel found her guilty
Former minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said that contrary to the stories making the rounds about who was responsible for the sack of Hadiza Usman, former managing director of Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), President Muhammadu Buhari approved the sack.
Amaechi also said that her sack followed a recommendation of a panel that found Hadiza guilty.

Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State, said that the panel found Hadiza guilty of approving money beyond her powers without appropriation, and for giving waivers to some “powerful individuals” that caused the country to lose a lot of money.
The former minister made the disclosure in Lagos Thursday at the TheNiche Annual Lecture, where he spoke on ‘Why we stride and slip: Leadership, Nationalism and the Nigerian Condition.’

Brandishing the original copy of the panel that indicted and recommended Hadiza’s sack, Amaechi said that the panel pointedly stated that those prominent Nigerians that enjoyed undue waivers must refund certain amount of money to the Federal Government coffers.
