An aircraft operated by British Airways flying from London to Abuja on Tuesday made an air return as a result of technical issues, the airline has said.
The flight would have arrived in Abuja for the Tuesday evening flight but could not make it because of the issue.
The airline confirmed in a statement that its aircraft returned to Heathrow and was met by the emergency services as a precaution after experiencing a minor technical issue.
“Our teams looked after our customers last night, providing them with overnight accommodation. We’re sorry to our customers for the delay to their travel plans,” the airline said.
