Rivers govt demolish State Assembly complex

Rivers update: Wike continues on warpath as Fubara keeps mum

The River State government is currently demolishing the River State House of Assembly complex.

The demolishing, which started early Wednesday morning, had bulldozers and some members of the state government agency supervising the exercise, according to several independent sources.

Political analysts are raising doubts about the demolition, attributing the actions to a power struggle between the current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara.
