Brass & Books Capital holds 2021 Money Conference Lagos

The Brass & Books Capital Group has finalised plans for the 2021 edition of the Money Conference Lagos with the theme ‘Strategic Economic Resurgence: The Alternative’.

Brass & Books Capital Group is a private finance company with holding interests in over 10 subsidiaries across different industries.

The event which has been organised since 2019, according to Felix Apena, the head of corporate communications, is expected to provide useable knowledge and resources aimed at empowering participants to enable them make improved personal and corporate decisions.

Apena told BusinessDay in Yenagoa at the weekend that the theme is relevant owing to the fact that today many business executives are faced with difficult decisions as a result of economic uncertainties.

He said this year’s edition will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and opportunity spotlights that would showcase up-to-date information and strategies on personal financial management.

There would also be information on profitable alternative investments opportunities and income shielding strategies, among others, even as registration has started for the May 1 event, Apena stated.

The theme of the 2021 edition, he said, “is hinged on the conference’s core concept that investing and investment opportunities accrue from all sorts of endeavours, commodities and ideas”.

“Money can be made by investing not only in real estate or shares as is commonly believed, but also in art, music, gold, start-up companies and several other asset classes,” he explained.

The Money Conference Lagos 2021 will boast several industry professionals, including Oluwole Oshin, founder and group chief executive of Custodian Investments Plc, and Solomon King, founding general partner and GCEO of Brass & Books Capital Group.

Apena disclosed that other key speakers at the conference would include Oluwatoyin Aralepo, founder and CEO of Africa Finance and Strategy Hub, who is a fellow of the Fellow of the Institute Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as well as an alumnus of the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) with over 15 years’ experience across banking, telecoms and fintech.

Others are Niyi Adesanya, one of Nigeria’s foremost business speakers and CEO of Fifth Gear Plus, and Eldrado Solomon-King, CEO, Spikes Media and group executive director (business operations), Brass & Books Capital Group.
