Ibrahim Kau Abubakar Zanna (Kaushot) on Saturday announced his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was an aspirant to the Borno State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general election.
The state House of assembly candidate, who contested to represent Kukawa Constituency, said he dumped the APC over alleged injustice meted out to him.
In an interview with our correspondent, Ibrahim said he dumped the APC because he would not continue to be a member of a party that ill-treated him.
According to him, despite being the most vibrant and the youngest aspirant and lover of the people of Kukawa Local Government Area of the Borno State, the APC stalwarts hijacked the forms and gave it out to those they liked.
Ibrahim described his old party APC as a corrupt political party in Nigeria, adding that his new party is the only political party that will give chance to the teeming youths in order to play their vital role for the development of the party, Borno State and Nigeria at large.

He added that PDP was the only straight forward political party that always listen to the cries and the opinion of the masses in all its activities.
Before his defection to PDP, he was appointed as special adviser on media and publicity to the chief whip of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. M.T Monguno in 2019 as a result of his track records.
He was also a chief photographer to Her Excellency, Habiba Babagana Umara Zulum, wife of the Borno State Governor and he was appointed by APC NYN to serve as a assistant publicity secretary,.a position he held from 2022 to date of defection.
“I am ever ready to salvage the lost glory of my dear mother land; I can see a new Kukawa where our people could get excess to their farmlands, where our businessmen are doing their activities normally, and where our fishermen will have no obstruction working all day.
“I will Insha Allah put smile on the faces of our people if given the mandate to be the chairman of our dear local government, Kukawa in Borno State, Nigeria, therefore, I am soliciting for your maximum support and cooperation to bring this dream into reality,” he said.
