The Zamu Community in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State has begged the state Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to help them and complete their 54km road for easy transportation.
Ardo of the community, Bodere Wakili made the appeal during the visitation of the commissioner for Works and transport, Professor Titus Saul Ketkukah to the site of the road construction.
He said that due the road project was not awarded by the present government but during governor Isa Yuguda’s regime.
He further said that when the then governor, Yuguda visited the site, he cried bitterly because he awarded the contract but people ate the money without doing the job, which is very bad.
Bodere said that the construction of the road will definitely help them in other to be transporting their farm produce to the big market like Bauchi, Darazo, Soro and other markets.

He added that during rainy season, they cannot cross to other neighbouring communities because of the river that is between them.
“We must to expressed our appreciation to governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for his doggedness for taking step of constructing road project,” he said.
On his part, the Commissioner for works and transport, Professor Titus Saul Ketkukah tell them that the state governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir have passion to complete their road.
He said that with the kind of infrastructural development that governor Bala is doing across all the 20 local government that formed the state, will not and never abandoned their 54km road, but just matter of time.
The Commissioner urged them to exercise patience and continue to be praying for the governor.
While the site engineer of the Philiko Nig. Ltd, Simon James said what is exactly delaying the work is the issue of fund.
He said: “We are to work and deliver that’s our mean purpose of been in the site of the construction.
“We wrote evaluation because when the contract was awarded, things in market where bit better, but at this time inflation everywhere, so is part of what exactly delayed the job.”
He assured the people of the affected communities that by God grace things will be okay.
