Athletic Bilbao occupy sixth position in the La Liga standings and have stepped up to the plate so far this season. The Basque outfit eased past Almeria 3-0 before the international break and will be confident ahead of this fixture.
Ahead of today’s cracker, Barcelona have won 42 of their last 65 meetings, while Athletic Bilbao have managed just 10 wins.
Barcelona are unbeaten in each of their last seven matches against Athletic Bilbao in La Liga and have won each of their last three such games without conceding a single goal.
