According to TEAMtalk, Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City.

The 26-year-old Super Eagles star has been one of the key players for Leicester City over the past few seasons. His impressive performances have attracted interest from top clubs in England and Spain, all wanting his services.

The Nigeria international joined Leicester in 2017 from KRC Genk, and since then, the 26-year-old has been a powerhouse for the Foxes and rated one of the most important players in the team.

Foxes were relegated from the English top flight after the end of last season. There was interest in Ndidi’s services during the summer, but the Foxes managed to keep him at the club as they push for an immediate return to the top flight.

Leicester have enjoyed an excellent start to the season. They have won 13 of their 15 Championship matches so far, losing two, and currently sit four points clear at the top of the table.

The 26-year-old midfielder has played a big part in it. He has featured in 12 of those matches and has even contributed towards four goals.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have enquired about the midfielder, while Lyon and Monaco are also keen on acquiring his signature, TEAMtalk reports

Ndidi’s contract runs out in the summer of 2024, and It looks unlikely that the 26-year-old will pen down a new deal with the club.

The Foxes could be forced into letting the 26-year-old leave if they cannot agree on a fresh contract.
