Bank manager abducted, 8 killed in Zamfara bandit attacks

Zamfara State has been plunged into mourning as eight individuals lost their lives in a series of brutal attacks allegedly carried out by bandits.

Among the victims of the heinous assaults is Mandir Laura, a branch manager with Taj Bank, who was abducted from his residence.

It was learnt that a group of armed bandits, numbering around fifteen, descended upon the home of the bank manager situated in the Rijiyar Gabas area on Monday night.

With swift and calculated precision, the assailants seized Laura and vanished into the darkness, leaving behind a community gripped by fear and uncertainty regarding his whereabouts.

In another disturbing incident, the town of Faru in Maradun Local Government Area fell victim to a vicious onslaught by bandits, resulting in the tragic loss of eight lives.

Eyewitnesses recounted scenes of horror as the perpetrators, believed to be the same group responsible for Laura’s abduction, cordoned off the town before unleashing a wave of violence upon its unsuspecting residents.

It was revealed that the bandits, emboldened by their brazen attacks, proceeded to abduct numerous individuals, dragging them into the dense cover of the nearby forest.

As families mourn the loss of loved ones and anxiously await news of the abducted, the collective resolve to confront and defeat the forces of terror grows ever stronger.
