Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State on Saturday emerged the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.
Govenor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri announced this immediately after their meeting that Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir emerged as chairman and his vice is the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
The new chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum promised to work hand in hand with other governors for the good of the party.
Bala urged his colleagues to support him in order to move their party forward.
The election of the Chairman was held at the Bauchi State Governmt House.
Fintiri said that Bala was chosen as a result of his competence and capacity to lead them as chairman of the forum.

Governors present were Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State; Kefas Agbu of Taraba State; Seyi Makinde of Ibadan; Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara; Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers; Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa Ibom, and Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State.
Others are Ademola Jackson Adeleke of Osun State; Sherrif Oborevwori of Delta; Douye Diri of Bayelsa; Peter Mbah of Enugu State and Godwin Obaseki of Edo represented by his deputy, Philip Shuaibu.
Other dignitaries at the retreat were, Atiku Abubakar, 2023 PDP presidential candidate; Ag National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Aliyu Damagum; former governor of Sokoto, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; fomer governor of Adamawa, Boni Haruna; former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi; former governor of Niger, Aliyu Babangida; Adolphus Wabara, acting chairman Board of Trustees; Dino Melaye and Abdul Ningi.
