AYLES Connect, Partners Set to Empower African Youths

Sucex Bright the founder Africa Youth Leadership & Economic Summit makes the headlines again as he sets up AYLES CONNECT a meeting point for young business people from various sectors and industries across Africa united by the desire to grow and attain business excellence. The goal, Sucex said is to build a strong viable group that will influence members positively and become a community where accomplished Individuals, corporations and start ups meet for mentorship, business and relaxation.

He further stated that one key focus area for Ayles Connect will be to raise funds to support unique ideas owned by members and help create job opportunities for others. This, they intend to achieve by having one million members by end of 2020 who will donate a minimum of #100 or more monthly towards achieving the objective of funding members ideas and creating capacity for them to employ a minimum of 2-5 other persons. This project will have Alpha Morgan Investment as fund managers and a commercial bank to receive the donations.

While quoting a World Bank publication, Bright said that youths account for 60% of all of Africa’s joblessness. In Nigeria the youth unemployment rate as at 2019, stood at 19.58%, North Africa 25% and is even greater in Botswana, the Republic of the Congo, Senegal, and South Africa, among others. With 200 million people aged between 15 and 24, Africa has the largest population of young people in the world.

He believes that there should a private sector led initiative to solving unemployment challenges in the continent and as a result AYLES Connect which is the enterprise arm of The Africa Youth Leadership & Economic summit program will focus on creating micro-enterprise projects for young people across the continent thereby empowering them to make impact in their communities.

“It is worthy to note that in the last 3 years we have held 10 conferences at different cities and have connected with a lot of young leaders with ideas that can make huge impact but the challenge has always been the needed seed capital for takeoff.” He said.

He noted that government has done a lot in creating opportunities for young people but have been overwhelmed with the challenges posed by many factors which make their efforts seem insignificant. AYLES Connect forum will provide a platform for engagement, knowledge sharing, networking, value-driven discussions, and deep marketing/sales insights.
