Aspira lifts BUK students’ extra burden with laundromat donation

Aspira donates Laundromat

In a move to support the academic success of students, Aspira Nigeria Limited has partnered with Bayero University, Kano (BUK) to provide a free laundry service to students.

The company donated a multi-million naira Laundromat facility consisting of 40 washing machines and other washing accessories to the university.

According to Abba Jaafar, General Manager of Aspira Nigeria, the initiative is part of the company’s commitment to investing in the education and well-being of Nigerian youths. “By providing essential services like laundry, we aim to ease the daily challenges students face and allow them to focus on their studies,” he said.

The project is the third phase of an initiative started by Aspira Nigeria to provide free laundry services to students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Similar facilities have been donated to universities in Lagos and Ibadan, with plans to extend the gesture to other universities in the near future.

Sagir Adamu Abbas, Vice-Chancellor of BUK, commended Aspira Nigeria for its commitment to social responsibility and community development, saying that the project reflects the spirit of collaboration and innovation prevailing in the company’s mindset.

The partnership is expected to enhance the quality of life for students and staff of Bayero University Kano and serve as a model for sustainable and student-centered infrastructure development in universities across the country.
