Rauf Aregbesola, former Minister of Interior and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign, citing worsening insecurity and economic hardship across the country.

Aregbesola made the call on Tuesday while addressing delegates at the ADC National Convention, chaired by former Senate President, David Mark, in Abuja.

The former Osun State governor described Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda as deceptive, insisting that the administration had failed to deliver on its promises.

“Renewed Hope is a scam; President Bola Tinubu should resign,” he said.

He criticised what he called the politicisation of governance and alleged that those responsible for destabilising opposition parties were being portrayed as strategists.

Calling for urgent action, Aregbesola urged Nigerians to support the ADC’s “rescue mission,” warning that continued inaction could deepen the country’s challenges.
