The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has vowed to remove Governor Ademola Adeleke from office before 10pm on election day in the August 15, 2026 Governorship election.
Oluwole Oke,the Director-General of the APC Campaign Council, made the declaration on Wednesday at the inauguration of the party’s campaign Council in Osun State.
Oke, who expressed confidence that the APC would secure victory in the poll said, “This incumbent Government is gone, their days are numbered in Office. I don’t have fear in my mind that we will win this election and don’t forget, I have always said this, we are expert in removing a sitting governor, we will remove Adeleke, before 10pm of 15th August, 2026, our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will emerge.”
The lawmaker, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal constituency stated that the Adeleke-led Administration had performed poorly across all sectors, saying “the truth remains that this Government has failed the people of Osun State on all fronts.”
He charged members of the Committee inaugurated to see their appointments as a call to responsibility, urging them to intensify grassroots mobilisation across wards, local government areas and polling units in the State.
Oke emphasised that the APC campaign would be issue-based, people-oriented, well-coordinated and result-driven.
Also speaking, Francis Fadahunsi, as serving senator, alleged that the State Government is encouraging illegal mining activities through levies imposed on miners in parts of the State, thereby contributing to environmental degradation in the affected areas.
Fadahunsi also claimed that the affected areas lacked adequate healthcare facilities for residents to access quality medical services.
He affirmed that the APC would ensure that Governor Ademola Adeleke does not return to office, adding that “Oyebamiji will come and bring about accountable governance to ensure that sanity returns to the mining business in the state and make more revenue available for the business of government.”
