The All Progressives Congress (APC) is getting ready for its special convention to elect the party’s presidential candidate, slated between for Monday to Wednesday next week.
The party therefore, has appointed special convention sub-committees to coordinate the process leading to the exercise.
Felix Morka, APC national publicity in a statement on Monday said Muhammad Yahaya, governor of Gombe State is the chairman of budget sub-committee with Zainab Ahmed, minister of finance as the co-chairman.
According to the statement, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State governor is the chairman of finance and logistics sub-committee while his Ogun counterpart Dapo Abiodun is in charge of accreditation and decorations.
The statement said Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa State is the chairman of media and publicity sub-committee, and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State is the chairman of security and compliance while Abdulrahman Dambazau former minister of interior is the co-chairman.
It further stated that Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu, Kebbi state governor is the chairman of election sub-committee with Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo State as co-chairman, while Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Ramatu Tijani Aliyu; FCT minister of state are chairman and co-chairman of transportation sub-committee.

Other sub-committees and their chairmen as well as co-chairmen, according to the statement are:
“Accommodation – H.E. Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State; Co-Chair: H.E. Gboyega Oyetola, Governor of Osun State. Medicals –Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment; Co-Chair: Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole, former Minister of Health.
“Legal: Abubakar Malami SAN, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice; Venue and Site Servicing: H.E. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, Governor of Zamfara State; Co-Chair: Mohammed Musa Bello, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Election Appeal – H.E. Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe State.
“Hospitality and Welfare – H.E. Simon Lalong, Governor of Plateau State; Co-Chair: Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. Protocols – H.E. Aminu Bello Masari, Governor of Katsina State. Digital Communications – H.E. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Governor of Kwara State.
