Afreximbank signs $50mln term loan facility with Green Economic Zone Kaduna

Nigeria joins others to sign Afreximbank’s fund for export development in Africa

Afreximbank signed a USD 50 million term loan facility in favour of Green Economic Zone Kaduna.

Signatories of the deal were Mr Khalifa Nazir, President of Green Economic Zone Kaduna, and Mrs Oluranti Doherty, Export Development Director at Afreximbank. The Green Economic Zone in Kaduna is a Public Private Partnership project between KK Kingdom Nigeria Limited and the Kaduna
State Government. Signed on June 1, 2021, this partnership aims to foster economic growth and leverage the strategic benefits of Kaduna State, including its proximity to densely populated states, favourable climate for cultivation, and a large productive population.

ACMA has also signed two additional mandates with KK Kingdom to support the development of crucial projects within GEZK: a lithium-ion processing facility and a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, and a fully integrated agro-industrial establishment comprising an oilseed plantation, oilseed processing factory, as well as an edible oil refining, fractionation, and packaging plant.
