Address us Mr President’ #ENDSARS protesters defy Police armoured vehicles

Endsars protesters have vowed to keep the roadblock at Lekki tollgate and other locations until President Muhammadu Buhari directly addresses the country on the disbandment of the rogue police unit Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

As at 10:40 am on Monday, police vehicles were seen positioned directly at the protesters. Although the policemen have yet to swing into action, protesters seem not intimidated by the sight of the force. The police had used teargas and water cannons to disperse protesters in Abuja on Sunday.

“Justice for Jimoh! Justice for Tina! Justice for Chibuike! What do we want? #ENDSARS Now!” the crowd at Lekki Tollgate chanted at the roadblock.

The protesters had arrived at the scene of the protest as early as 4am in the morning with takeaway food packs.

“A president that cannot address the nation but can go through all the 36 states of the country to canvass their votes during the election…Nigeria is gradually losing its glory under this regime,” a protester said.

Protesters also gathered at Unilag and Alausa carrying sticks and placards with ‘#ENDSARS’ inscriptions.
