Abia governor appoints Obioma as new Head of Service

Abia, organized labour sign agreement on implementation of minimum wage

The Abia State Government has announced the appointment of Ngozi Queen Obioma as the new Head of Service (HoS) for the state’s civil service.

A statement dated November 29, 2023, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kenneth Kalu, stated that Governor Alex Otti has approved the appointment of Ngozi Queen Obioma with effect from December, 1st 2023.

Kalu expressed the Governor’s appreciation to Joy Maduka, the acting Head of Service for her contributions and wished her well on her new posting.
Recall that Maduka was a director In the State’s Civil Service before her appointment on the acting capacity.

She was among the 24 persons who were appointed Permanent Secretaries recently by Governor Otti.
