The chairman, Iganna Local Council Development Area, Oyo State, Jacob Adeleke, and his driver were on Sunday night kidnapped at Olosan village, along Okeho-Ado Awaye Road.

The council boss was said to be on his way to Ibadan, the state capital, ahead of a meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde on Monday morning.

His vehicle was, however, intercepted by unknown hoodlums and the two were whisked away.

The kidnappers have reportedly demanded N200m ransom to secure their release.
