Atedo Peterside, an economist, has recommended six things that Nigerians must do to move Nigeria forward if carefully implemented by Nigerians.

Delivering his keynote speech at the 4th Nigerian Leadership Colloquium in honour of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo’s 63rd birthday, titled, ‘Mistakes Nigeria Made’, Peterside said: “The youth must be encouraged to go into politics; Nigerians must continue to demand for electoral reform; we must hold every public office holder accountable (whistle-blowing must continue); Nigerians must work hard at improving and organising a vibrant opposition; the real enemy of the people are those who are engaged in state capture (politicians, irrespective of political affiliation are part of this capture), but Nigeria must not give up. We must continue to fight for the rights of 200 million Nigerians.”
