Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the public that 27 Nigerian girls stranded in Lebanon returned to the country via a chartered flight and were received on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by Ferdinand Nwonye, the spokesperson of the ministry, on behalf of the minister, Geoffrey Onyeama.
The ministry, in a statement issued on Monday, said the returnees, who tested negative for Covid-19 before departure, according to
the international travel protocol, were allowed to go to their various homes after necessary documentation in order to be reunited with their families.

Over 100 Nigerian girls have so far been evacuated from the Middle East country following the Covid-19 pandemic.
