President Bola Tinubu will on Thursday, give a nationwide broadcast, as part of the activities to mark the 2025 Democracy Day.
BusinessDay Presidency sources said the President will later address a joint session of the National Assembly
The Democracy Day National Broadcast on June 12, 2025 , which will come up at 7am, is expected to unveil the direction of the Tinubu’s administration in the next two years.
There are also indication that the President will use the opportunity to grant State Pardon to deserving Nigerians, amongst other landmark decisions.

BusinessDay also gathered that there will be no Democracy Day Parade, an event that usually adds spices to such occasions, that involves the release of white Pigeons and cut the national Democracy Day cake.
Later on Thursday, the President is expected to attend the National Assembly Joint Session
The President will also preside over a public lecture on Democracy Day Celebration at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, with the theme: “Consolidating on the Gains of Nigeria’s Democracy: Necessity of Enduring Reforms”
Presidency said the event is significant for Nigeria as it mark 26 years of unbroken democracy.
