10 women entrepreneurs get TBWC seed grant

About Ten women entrepreneurs have emerged beneficiaries of the Soft Business Grants at the 2023 edition of The Business Women Connect (TBWC) Conference held in Warri, Delta State recently.

Doubra Emein, president of the business group, said that this year’s edition the fourth in the series had its theme as “Refresh” – with emphasis on the need for working women to rest, refresh and boom.

Speaking on the grant, Ufuoma Ogbo, executive director, said the seed grant of N200,000 and N100,000 were given to empower 10 women led small businesses.

“This is just the beginning of many more we intend to do to support women and their endeavours,” she said.

“We believe that when women are financially independent they can do more to for themselves and contribute to their family finance,” she added.

The TBWC president, said the entire group is elated and appreciative of the sponsors of the seed grant which includes, leading ladies Africa and Ejiro Udu, known also as the generator girl.

“Five of the women received N100,000 through a raffle draw while others received N200,000 seed grant through a Pitchaton.”

The Business Women Connect (TBWC) is led by Doubra Emein, president; Ufuoma Ogbo and Onome Akpobarowho are executive directors respectively.
