Reps adjourn plenary over Jigawa Rep’s death

The House of Representatives Tuesday adjourned first plenary after five weeks of Christmas and New Year break to honour the deceased member, representing Garki/Babura Federal constituency of Jigawa state, Adamu Fagen-Gawo.

The adjournment followed the announcement by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, of the death of Fagen-Gawo, who died December 31, 2019 while the House was on break.

After the announcement, the House observed a one- minute silence in honour of the deceased and adjourned proceedings to Wednesday.

Meanwhile, no motion, bill or report was slated for deliberation and consideration by the House of Representatives at its maiden sitting after the vacation that began on December 20.
