Trading on the Nigeria Stock Exchange ended on a bullish note today as the All Share Index (ASI) of grew by 0.072%. The index which started off today at 25,653.16 ended the day at 25,671.55. Market capitalization closed at N8.88 trillion. A total of 2,587 deals valued at N2.55 billion were sealed on the floor of the Exchange at the end of trading.
Nestle Plc emerged the highest gainer as the company’s stocks appreciated from N730.01 to N750; a N19.99 gain. Other notable gainers include Mobil Plc., Guinness, Total and Guaranty Trust Bank, ETI plc, Nigerian Aviation Handling Plc. They gained N3.1, N3.05, N1 and N0.95 respectively.
On the other hand, Guinness led the losers with a loss of N3.32 others losers includes Julius Berger Ni. Plc, Dangote Cement, United Africa Country of Nigeria, and Cadbury Nig Plc. They lost with N1.95, N1, N0.49, and N0.21 respectively.
However, Custodian and Allied Plc shares were the most traded in terms of volume. First Bank of Nigeria, united bank of Nigeria, Zenith bank, and Diamond were also among the stocks that attracted significant trade in terms of volume.
