Nigerite Limited, Nigeria’s premier roofing materials manufacturing company, is perfecting plans to organize a one-day forum for professionals in the building industry.
The forum, with the theme: ‘Innovative Building Construction in the 21st Century’ is slated for April 30, 2013 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.
A statement signed by Toyin Gbede, the company’s Executive Director, Marketing, says the one-day engagement “is in line with the company’s strategy to contribute its quota to the quest for solving housing deficit in Nigeria estimated to be 16 million units.”

This, Gbede revealed, was necessary so as to enable construction industry players to begin to address their minds towards dry construction technology as a viable alternative building process in resolving housing provision challenges in Nigeria.
“This is in line with our strategy to turn the attention of Nigerian construction experts to modern methods of construction in other continents where housing issues have been addressed considerably and assure them of our readiness to collaborate as Nigeria matches forward in its transformation agenda”, he said.
Gbede noted that innovation is the bedrock of modern civilization, pointing out that any nation or corporate bodies that do not innovate would die.
The theme of the engagement is: Innovative Building Construction in the 21st Century”.
The parley is a follow-up to a well attended interactive forum held in January 2013 at the same venue where stakeholders in construction industry discussed the benefits of dry construction methods over the conventional wet construction process.
