Nigeria’s statistician-general Yemi Kale has corrected an error in its recent Q4 2018 Foreign Trade report released by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
According to the NBS boss, the regrettable error was noticed in its Agricultural export which previously was N33.7 billion in 2017 was now N170.4 billion.
“Correction! Q4 2018 Foreign Trade in Goods. For 2018, the value of Agric exports rose by 77.4 percent from N170.4 billion(not N33.7 billion) in 2017 to N302.2 billion in 2018 while the value of Agriculture imports declined -3.9 percent from N886.7 billion in 2017 to N851.6 billion in 2018. The error is regretted,” Kale tweeted on his official twitter handle on Thursday.
