The naira fell 0.34 percent against the dollar during mid-morning trade on Thursday, below a three-month low of 164 it touched the previous day, as traders got nervous over falling global oil prices, dealers said.

The currency opened at 163.45 and fell to 164 by 1016 GMT as the Brent crude oil price hit $98.88 a barrel.
