Credit information must be available to every sector, says Tunde Lemo

Tunde Lemo
Credit information must not only be available to the financial services sector but must be extended to other sectors of the economy, says Tunde Lemo, former deputy governor of CBN and currently the chairman of Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
Lemo, who chairs the 10th-anniversary ceremony of CRC Credit Bureau Limited themed “providing insights; enabling growth” acknowledged that availability of credit information has helped in reducing credit risks in the economy.
Access to CRC Credit Bureau credit information database enables creditors to effectively assess the levels of risk associated with new and existing customers for credit offers while taking advantage of its technology-driven product offerings to develop new credit products.
In the last ten years, CRC Credit Bureau has strived to live up to the visions and mission by deploying innovative products/services and entering strategic partnerships that have enhanced access to credit for consumers and MSMEs.
The event was to celebrate the CRC journey, the impact and value it brings to the credit reporting industry and the Nigerian economy as a whole.
